- Fundraising Event – Each year Big Sisters of Rhode Island holds a major fundraising event to raise awareness and funds for our programs – The Abracadabra Ball. We could not achieve our mission of serving children without the generosity of our sponsors —businesses, foundations, sports teams, entertainment, government and individuals—who provide us with the funds, goods and services that make it possible for us to bring professionally-supported friendships to children in need. - Agency Event – To engage, support and recognize our volunteers, children and friends Big Sisters of Rhode Island hosts a variety of events and activities. Many help us foster the mentoring relationship between Bigs and Littles. All are available for sponsor support.

- External Event – Big Sisters of Rhode Island is grateful to our community event/activity partners, individuals and organizations who host fundraising events/activities to benefit our Bigs & Littles. Community events promote both mentoring awareness and the important work of Big Sisters. These events/activities also raise funds vital to furthering our mission. Whether it’s a golf tournament, car show, wine & cheese tasting, or a clear your clutter party, Big Sisters will provide guidance to insure success.

Cause Marketing Partner
Big Sisters of Rhode Island strives to partner with corporations on fundraising collaborations wherein companies donate a portion of proceeds from the sales of their products, services or event tickets.
More and more companies are realizing that charitable because marketing partnerships are a win/win, because marketing partnerships help businesses remain competitive, maintain their good corporate citizenship profile, increase their business, and attract and retain employees and customers.
The Value of Cause Marketing
The number of Americans likely to consider a company’s social commitments when making purchasing, employment and investment decisions has grown significantly:
- 77% of Americans believe that companies have a responsibility to support a cause
- 91% say that they have a more positive image of a product or company when it supports a cause
- 81% of Americans consider a company’s social commitment when deciding where to work
- 74% of Americans say a company’s commitment to a social cause is important when they decide which products and services to recommend to other people
- 85% say it is important when deciding which companies they want to see doing business in their local communities
- 80% of Americans can name a company which they believe to be a strong corporate citizen
- 86% of Americans indicate that when price and quality are equal, they will reward companies that support a cause with their business
Cause Marketing is a powerful business strategy. It can play an influential role in converting potential customers into paying customers, increasing sales and customer loyalty. Cause marketing programs help companies enhance their reputations, cultivate brand trust, and establish an emotional connection with customers.

And, they allow consumers to give back in simple convenient ways - while they shop, dine out, enjoy recreational activities.
