Big Sisters of Rhode Island provides an opportunity for you to create a fun and positive one-to-one friendship with a girl in your community.

• Being a Big Sister is something almost anyone can do. The most important requirement is a willingness to make a new friend and a desire to share some fun with a young girl.
   

• You can volunteer to be a Big Sister in our traditional program if you are at least 19 years old. Volunteers for our Rhode Island Training School Program must be at least age 25.
   

• If you are driving on your visits with your Little Sister, you must have a valid drivers license and liability insurance.

Thank you for your interest in our program. Our service is based on our volunteers and because of women like you we have a proven success creating and nurturing relationships between adult women and girls ages 7 to 15 year old.
