Big Sisters of Rhode Island seeks women and men for
whom our mission resonates to serve on our board of directors. We are
committed to and welcome ethnic diversity on our board, as we serve
girls of many cultural backgrounds. Further, we look for representation
among the many different industries, professions and organizations
across Rhode Island, seeking individuals with the skills, talents and
experience to complement those among our board group. Building capacity
and bringing resources to the agency are a major theme for board
participation. Monthly board meetings focus on strategic and policy
issues. Members serve a three-year term, which can be renewed, and meet
from September through June.
